Company Description and Problem
One of Africa’s largest bank’s central technology function houses their AWS platform, which includes governing the networking components that are part of the accounts. These accounts contain CIDR ranges which were stored manually. This meant that there was human interaction required on account creation which added extra time in deploying the full account setup.
Solution
A combination of Lambda functions and DynamoDB was used to store all CIDR addresses and the accounts that are using them. The next step was to publish this as a service which could be invoked by the account setup automation.
